How to Vote

The following is a simplified description of how to vote.  In the case of a discrepancy between this information and the information in the Official Announcement, the latter will govern.

Voter Eligibility

In order to vote,

  • You must ordinarily be a resident of the Yukon
  • You must have been a member of the Liberal Party of Canada by 5pm on September 11th, 2014
  • You must be 14 years old or older

Where and When to Vote

  • Candidate Selection Meeting – October 4th
    • Voting will take place after speeches on October 4th.
      • Whitehorse voting takes place at the High Country Inn at 2pm.
  • Mail in Ballots – October 3rd
    • Ballots must be returned to the LPC-Yukon mailbox or be returned to the Yukon Chair before Friday October 3, 2014 at 5:00 PM to be counted.

How to Mark your Ballot

As there are more than two Contestants, voting is by preferential ballot. You therefore must indicate your preference for the Contestants in order of your choice. Indicate your first choice candidate with the number”1″; your second choice candidate with a number “2”, and soon, placing a different number beside the name of each of the four candidates.You should not mark your ballot with an “X”.
